How are heat and cooling methods and technologies perceived by the senses? How do they contribute to the acoustic fabric of the city? And how can the mapping of soundscapes of cooling/heat be used for the purpose of understanding the effects of the changing climate?
In this on-going project, Aqdas Fatima, Soha Macktoom, and Professor Nausheen Anwar collect sound bites from both the open and the built environment that are linked to heat and cooling in various spaces of Pakistan's largest metropolis - Karachi.
