Our work is focused on four global cities that are critical for understanding the future of life with heat.

Across all these cities a high percentage of urban residents live on low incomes with precarious access to energy, water, and transportation grids.

In each city, post-colonial patterns of urban growth, increasing population density, and pressures on existing infrastructure are compounding the effect of ‘urban heat islands.’
